Nrityenakatha is recruiting female and male dancers/actors/musicians/artists (Ages 16+) in the Seattle-Area to be a part their upcoming dance-theater productions.

NRITYENAKTHA IS NOW LOOKING FOR MUSIC COMPOSITION AND RECORDING SERVICES
- Compose and record theme-specific Indian classical dance songs/soundtracks for a 2-3 hour production
- Incorporate Kuchipudi-style nattuvangam (male voice)
- Both female and male singing voices with live instrumental background ( at least sitar, flue, and tabla or equivalents)
- Can be Carnatic or Hindustani style
- Language must be Hindi or Sanskrit
AUDITION FOR FEMALE AND MALE DANCERS:
Submit a video audition that best represents your skills in Indian classical dance (Kuchipudi, Bharatnatyam or Odissi). The video must be a good quality video that encompasses at least one jathi segment. If you are interested in an acting role, include a piece with abhinaya that clearly shows your expressions. It can be a past performance or a new dance audition video. Although a solo dance video is strongly preferred, you can submit a group performance as long as you clearly identify yourself. You do not need to be the choreographer of the piece. Only submit a pure classical dance piece (for example, semi-classical or bollywood will not be accepted)

AUDITION FOR MALE ACTORS
Submit a video audition that best represents your acting skills. The video must be a good quality video that clearly shows BOTH your facial expressions as well as hand gestures/body language (i.e. the frame should include your full self). The video can be of you lip syncing to a recorded dialogue or of you actually rendering the dialogue yourself. The language can be either English or Hindi. If you choose to enact a scene with others, please clearly identify yourself. You do not need to be the creator of the dialogue/scene and you can use lines/scenes from movies/plays.

Note: There are no female acting roles in the particular story of this production. All female roles involve Indian classical dance.
AUDITION FOR VOICE ACTRESSES/ACTORS
You will be the voice of our production and must be able to fluently render Hindi dialogues.
Submit an audio of you performing a short dialogue in Hindi. You can use lines from plays/movies or write your own dialogue.

APPLY FOR ROLES IN PRODUCTION
If you are interested in getting involved in the logistics of the production, there are a variety of roles you can apply for:
Production Coordinators: Serve as a lighting designer, stage manager, or prop manager
Marketing Coordinators: Advertise tours/performances, promote the troupe via social media/website, reach out to different channels/organizations to propagate our name
Financial Coordinators: Search for funding opportunities, maintain the budget of the company and tours, contact potential sponsors, write grants.
Video/Photographers: Capture footage of performances and practices and conduct troupe photo shoots
